It is my intention for this blog to be clean, practical, and boring, as evidenced by the font selection of Courier. Courier has all the inefficiency of a classic typewriter, but without the beautiful irregular ink stains so mechanically and vigorously thrown into absorbent sheets of paper - paper that picks up fingerprint oils - paper that fails to glisten like the pixels on which I type. Paper and ink have textural, visual, and olfactory components that can never be replaced.
No, this is not meant to be exciting. I will not be purchasing fancy cameras to take sexy pictures of food with shallow depths of field. I'm not a self-employed recipe developer. This is not "all the flavor with half the [insert dietary concern]." There is nothing cute about this, and it's not pinnable.
This is a different kind of recipe blog altogether.
