Boiled Eggs

Find saucepan with lid.
Add 1 inch of water, cover, and bring to a boil.
In a single layer, gently lower eggs.
Cover pan and maintain a vigorous boil.
For warm liquid yolk, 5 mins.*
For medium soft yolk, 7.5 mins.*
For solid yolk, 10 mins.*
The New York Times recommends no ice bath.
We have also used an ice bath to stop cooking.

*If using cold eggs, add 1 minute.
