1 C or 2 sticks butter
60 g or 3/4 C cocoa400 g or 2 C sugar
4 eggs
1 t vanilla
156 g or 1 1/4 C AP flour
1/4 t salt
2 oz or 1/2 C chopped walnuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 350.
Grease and line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper.
Melt butter over low heat.
Separately, combine cocoa and sugar.
Stir melted butter into cocoa and sugar.
Stir eggs and vanilla into cocoa, sugar, and butter.
Stir in flour and salt, just until incorporated.
Add walnuts.
Scrape into pan and bake 40-50 mins.
