125 g flour
74 g brown sugar
1/4 t salt
5 T cold butter
8 oz cream cheese, room temp
50 g sugar
1 egg
1 T lemon juice
1/2 C chopped red & green candied or maraschino cherries
Preheat oven to 350.
Line an 8x8 pan.
Separately, combine flour, brown sugar, and salt.
Cut butter into dry mixture until crumbly.
Set aside 1/2 C crumbs and press remaining mixture into pan.
Bake crust 10-12 mins or until lightly toasted.
Separately, cream together cream cheese, sugar, egg, and lemon juice.
Fold in chopped cherries.
Spread over crust.
Sprinkle with reserved crumb topping.
Bake 18-20 mins or until set.
Let cool to room temp.
Chill 2 hours.
Slice into bars.
